The February Semester is coming to an end. The University wishes you a successful conclusion of the semester and an enjoyable, restful break. For those who are completing your time at Nkumba University this semester, we hope you will stay engaged and in touch as you move on to new opportunities. For those who will be returning to campus in January, we look forward to continuing to consider with you the most important issues of our day, including how to better realize our commitment to diversity and community and to expand that commitment to other institutions through our engagement.

Take a look at our END OF FEBRUARY SEMESTER CIRCULAR & ACADEMIC CALENDAR for better preparations.

Four Nkumba University students departed for Austria over the weekend on the Erasmus Plus Exchange Programme that will last them over five months.

The Erasmus+ programme is a European Union scheme for enhancing mobility of students for a rounded global education experience. There are over 4000 institutions of higher learning in 37 countries participating in the Erasmus+ exchange programme, which additionally provides mobility opportunities in training as well as for the youth.

The four students who departed for Austria on Saturday February 2, 2019 include: Florence Nabukalu (Masters in Procurement and Logistics Management); Martin Kayira (Masters in commercial Art and Design, with specialization in Architectural Design); Vincent Yamulemye (Bachelors in Tourism and Hospitality); and, Takia Nakandi (Bachelor of Tourism).

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wilson Muyinda Mande, asked them to look to the practical aspects of their programmes so as to benefit business and industry. He urged them to also appreciate the culture where they will be resident for over five months.

The Dean of the School of Commercial, Industrial Art and Design, Mr. Charles Kaggwa, who is also in charge of international collaboration for Nkumba University asked the students to be worthy ambassadors of the University.

Two other students, Diana Muhumuza and Duncan Kiggundu (both pursuing Masters in Commercial Art, with specialization in Interior Design) recently completed their tour on the Erasmus+ programme in Austria. The University has in the past hosted several European students on the Erasmus+ programme.
