Who We Are
Nkumba University library provides services to students, staff and other researchers. In this role, the library has both electronic and hard copies of books, journals and other forms of information. The library has a unique 24/7 service. There is a good collection of Ugandan and foreign periodicals as well as newspapers like The New Vision, The Monitor, The East African, News week and Times. The Library serves as a repository for Nkumba University publications. All these help to keep students and staff informed of current and past events.
Collaboration
The Library is a member of the Consortium of Uganda University Libraries (CUUL).
Library Resources
Currently the Library has 23,000 volumes of books and approximately 5,000 periodicals, journals, magazines and other documents. It has electronic journals (E-Resources) which are available to students and staff on request. In addition, internet facilities are freely accessed by both staff and students for both research and communication purposes.
The Library is being improved and developed every year to meet the varied needs of students.
The Library is situated near the entrance to the main campus. There is also a branch at Kampala Campus.

Welcome to the Nkumba University Institutional Digital Repository. This is the Institutional Repository of the University. It is a digital service that collects, preserves, and distributes digital material. It houses research material from Nkumba University which includes reviewed articles and books, dissertations and theses, technical reports and more collections.

More Information about the Schools
The school that began with two programmes in Hotel and Tourism Operations, has progressively grown. It now boosts of accommodating three departments and one Institute. The departments include Hospitality, Natural Resources and Applied Sciences.
Institute of Nursing and Midwifery was established in the year 2018, and it is currently housed in SCOS. Such development has been possible due to the presence of a big and expansive space in the SCOS building.
The School has highly qualified and motivated staff both teaching and non-teaching. The school has a total of 49 Academic Staff. The school which started with ten (10) students, numbers have progressively increased to over five hundred (500) students distributed in all programmes at SCOS. The school has for the past 25 years passed 1818 graduates.
