Dr. Geoffrey S. Mutumba is a distinguished academic in Energy Economics<\/a> and Governance. With over a decade of impactful teaching and research experience, he has significantly contributed to Uganda\u2019s energy and economic development discourse. He is a visiting Professor at the United Nations University for Peace and is renowned for his interdisciplinary approach combining economics, governance, and sustainable energy. Dr. Mutumba\u2019s extensive research spans geothermal, solar, and bioenergy, carbon emissions, and the nexus of energy consumption with economic growth. He has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and actively participates in international energy symposia. A consultant and curriculum developer for national education institutions, he also contributes to Uganda\u2019s policy development in taxation and secondary education. He has demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, policy impact, sustainable development and education leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Geoffrey Mutumba holds a Ph.D. in Energy Economics<\/a> and Governance from Makerere University (2024), underscoring his commitment to sustainable energy research and policymaking. He earned a Master of Arts in Economic Policy and Planning from the same institution, building a strong foundation in economic theory and application. His undergraduate journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Education (Economics and Geography) from Makerere University, blending pedagogical training with analytical skills. This educational trajectory has positioned Dr. Mutumba as a thought leader in the intersection of economics<\/a>, education, and energy governance. His academic credentials not only reflect rigorous scholarship but also a strong alignment with national and global sustainable development goals. As an alumnus of Uganda\u2019s premier academic institution, he exemplifies intellectual integrity and scholarly innovation, paving the way for a new generation of economists and policy advisors. Dr. Mutumba\u2019s academic career spans over 15 years. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Economics<\/a> at Kyambogo University (2011\u20132024).
