Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health can become an epidemiologist by obtaining a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) or a related field.
  2. Health Educator: Health educators design and implement programs that promote healthy lifestyles and prevent disease. They work in a variety of settings, including schools, community centers, healthcare organizations, and government agencies. Health educators develop educational materials, conduct training sessions, and evaluate program effectiveness. Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health can become a health educator by obtaining a Master’s degree in Public Health Education or a related field.
  3. Environmental Health Specialist: Environmental health specialists investigate and mitigate environmental hazards that can affect human health. They work in government agencies, healthcare organizations, and private consulting firms. Direct Entry Scheme

  1. i) At least 5 passes at Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)

obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent; and

  1. ii) At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.

A good diploma from a recognized institution as determined by the

University Senate

 

Mature Age Entry

  1. i) The applicant should be 25 years of age and above.
  2. ii) Must have passed mature age entry examinations organized by a recognised body as authorized by the National Council for Higher Education.
