Diploma In Graphic Digital Design

This programme seeks to promote innovation and proficiency in the use of digital media particularly for those targeting the entertainment industry. The aspects related to Publishing, Advertising, Packaging, and Printing for Entertainment are given a very high focus. A total credit load of 60 is required for one to graduate. The programme structure is as shown below.

  2. User Experience (UX) Designer: A UX designer is responsible for creating user-friendly and engaging digital experiences, such as websites or mobile apps. This includes conducting user research, developing wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with developers.   3. Web Designer: A web designer is responsible for designing and developing the visual look and feel of websites. This includes developing layouts, selecting fonts and colors, and creating graphics.   4. Visual Designer: A visual designer is responsible for creating visual designs for a variety of media, such as print, digital, and social media. This includes developing layouts, selecting fonts and colors, and creating graphics.   5. Brand Identity Designer: A brand identity designer is responsible for creating the visual identity of a brand, including logos, color schemes, and typography. This includes conducting research, developing concepts, and creating brand guidelines.   6. Motion Graphics Designer: A motion graphics designer is responsible for creating animated graphics and videos for a variety of media, such as advertisements and social media. This includes developing concepts, creating storyboards, and animating graphics. Entry Requirements

  • Applicants for Diploma programmes should hold:
  1. A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a minimum of 5 passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
  2. Uganda Advanced Level Certificate (UACE) with at least one Principal Pass, and 2 subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
    Or 
  3. A certificate obtained after 2 years of post UCE study from a recognized institution;
    Or
  4. Any equivalent Certificate besides UCE and UACE from a recognized institution.
