PhD in Development Studies

The Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Development Studies programme of Nkumba University is intended to offer the highest rewards of learning and innovation in the fields offered by the School of Social Sciences relating to the broad discipline of Development Studies.  This programme is designed, among others, to give students knowledge, skills, abilities and values needed to meet the highest academic requirements in the market. Among others it includes the following fields relating to Development Studies: Sociology, Anthropology, Community Based Development, Criminology, Psychology, HIV/AIDS studies, Development Administration and Management.

Development Policy Analyst: Development policy analysts work to evaluate and develop policies that promote economic growth, social justice, and environmental sustainability in low- and middle-income countries.
