[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][ultimate_spacer height=”50″][vc_column_text]Welcome to Nkumba University! The start of a new academic year is an exciting time, and I look forward to welcoming you to the Nkumba campus community. As you prepare to move in and reconnect with friends, I am writing with a short update about the Nkumba University Student Guild Affairs.
It has been a busy month and you should expect some changes around campus, from facilities to programs and service hours. The renovations and repairs to the University wall fence are complete and the University is more secure than never before.
I encourage all students to explore all that the Students Guild has to offer.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”7832″ img_size=”350*450″ add_caption=”yes” label=””][porto_ultimate_heading main_heading=”GUILD PRESIDENT” heading_tag=”h5″ alignment=”{“xl“:“center“}” main_heading_font_weight=”” sub_heading_font_weight=””]

For example, a new Retention Services organization in Campus Life was created to bring together student engagement with academic support services and help you achieve your academic and personal goals. As student leader we are excited to work with the University Administration on ideas about how we can continue to meet student needs. The Students Guild at Nkumba’s University represents and advocates for students at the campus, system, and national levels through the Uganda National Students Association. From student-led campaigns to school student government and cultural associations, there are many opportunities for every student to get involved.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our mission in the Student Guild is simple-to support students and create a living-learning community where students thrive, belong, and are engaged world citizens. Clearly we are the heart of the university and an integral part of our campus.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]The Nkumba University Students Guild is always available to help all students most especially in the observance of the principles of Natural justice in student affairs. If you have questions, concerns, or need assistance, we invite you to take advantage of the Guild Office hours for students every workday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. opposite Nabagereka Hall. Most importantly, as the Students Guild we want all students to be well and stay healthy. Many resources and support are available to students through the Student Health Center just behind the SCOS building and opposite SCIAD.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]Again, I welcome you to Nkumba University and look forward to meeting you. I hope your time on the campus will be exciting, challenging you in new and different ways. Your academic success and life at Nkumba University is top priority-study hard and enjoy your Student Guild experience. Have a terrific year!
