Prof. Christoph Kaltenbrunner works at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (UAAV) in Austria, where his work focuses significantly on organic material usage in art, design and architecture. He visited NU in February 2024 and February 2025 as a researcher on an inter-institutional project involving SCIAD at NU on the innovative use of Luffa (natural sponge) to improve its economic benefits in its value chain. He conducted a Luffa manipulation workshop with Art and Design students at Nkumba in February 2025.
