NU started international collaborations in 2002 with activities that included research capacity building, which was funded by UNESCO. International academic mobility however took a stronghold in 2011 and has continued to expand till now, comprising partner universities, HEIs and research institutions from Africa, Europe, Asia and America.
The head of the coordination office under the international relations unit. Together with a team of contact persons in the 7 Schools, he manages all administrative work concerning student and staff international mobility. Charles Kaggwa is currently also the Dean of the School of Commercial Industrial Art and Design (SCIAD). Other Schools in the University are; School of Business Administration (SBA), School of Law (SLAW), School of Education (SEDU), School of Sciences (SCOS), School of Social Science (SOSS) and School of Informatics (SCI).
