DECEDA
Nkumba University is a key partner in the DECEDA Project, a national initiative aimed at improving the quality of primary education in underserved rural schools through ICT integration, teacher training, and localized digital content development. The project directly supports Uganda’s National Development Plans (NDP) III & IV and the national vision for a $500 billion digital economy.
Uganda’s Universal Primary Education (UPE) policy increased enrolment nationwide, but learning outcomes remain low, especially in rural areas with limited access to resources and technology. The COVID-19 pandemic further exposed the urgent need for sustainable, ICT-enabled learning solutions.
