Dr. Micheal Ebner is an expert in organic material usage in a range of architectural product design processes. He is a lecturer at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (SUAS) in Austria, where his expertise is applied into construction material research, design thinking, creativity and innovation. He visited NU in February 2024 and February 2025 as a researcher on an inter-institutional project involving SCIAD at NU on the innovative use of Luffa (natural sponge) to improve its economic benefits in its value chain. He facilitated a Luffa manipulation workshop with Art and Design students at Nkumba in February 2025.
