Talibita Moses is a lawyer working with Uganda National Health Consumer’s Organisation, patient rights campaigner, a lecturer at the School of Sciences – Nkumba University, and a consultant on Natural Resources laws[national and international. In his 10+ years’ experience has participated in public policy analysis, advocacy, and legislative writing and drafting.
This led to the enactment of the Tobacco Control Act no. 22 of 2015 and the Patient Rights and Responsibilities Bill of 2019, Tobacco Control Regulations of 2019, the national medicines policy of Uganda, and several health sector-based bills of parliament. He also moderates workshops, writes press statements, responds to media concerns, writes Opinions of topical issues such as health, patient detentions, intellectual property on medicines, tobacco taxation, and budget allocations to Health sector. Talibita is also trained in Budget Advocacy and costing tobacco Control programming; Tobacco Industry Interference monitoring and countering; Citizenship, Governance, And Accountability In Health; Media relations for Civil society leaders; Tobacco Control Media reporting, and Tobacco Tax Advocacy.
