Muyiira Joseph

My names are Muyiira Joseph, a Ugandan by birth and a lecturer at Nkumba University in the School of Sciences (Hospitality Department). I am currently a PhD Candidate at Nkumba University in second year. I hold a Master’s of Science Degree in Natural Resources Management, a Degree in Tourism Operations and Management, a Diploma in Tourism Operations and a Certificate in Hotel Management and Institutional Catering from Nkumba University.
During my studies I held several responsibilities like Sports Minister and Chairperson Nkumba University Sports and Games Union. I have had several training courses in Peer Guidance and Community Counseling both at Nkumba University and at Namasuba College of Commerce.
I also had Sports Management training at Makerere University Business School and at National Council of Sports and also had training in General Management of Human Resource sponsored and facilitated by Imperial Resort Beach Hotel Entebbe and
Functional Techniques Services.

Being a former footballer and an athlete these training have improved my Managerial Skills and that’s why have been the Team Manager of our University teams for the last seven years and through the cooperation have had with the Dean of Students’ Office and the Sports Tutor’s Office as well as the Sports Family of Nkumba University we have been able to achieve a lot of successes.

I am a serious and a very good team player who is ready to work with each and every one in the work environment so as to achieve our set goals and objectives as best educational institution in the country and world over.
